A Swiss startup aims to become the PayPal of crypto and make cryptocurrency payments a reality for everyone.

BitShare Munich claims to have created a POS system, BlockPay “S”, which supports multiple digital currencies by integrating a software via an application programming interface.

BitMD is a company that combines point-of-sale (POS) terminals, wallet software and Bitcoin Teller Machines (BTMs) to enable patients to pay medical providers in Bitcoin right at the counter.

UK-based altcoin exchange LazyCoins has announced they are relaunching their online exchange, along with a mobile app for payments and merchant services.

The Bitcoin community usually revels in the news when large companies like Overstock.com and Expedia announce that they are accepting Bitcoin. But while these companies definitely have large customer bases, Bitcoin needs to be accepted by small to medium sized businesses if it is ever to become a mainstay mode of payment.

Revel Systems, makers of an iPad POS, has added native Bitcoin transactions to its service.
